The hold and the provisional list are from reports. A final court order is a separate document. Not legal advice. 3 October 2026.
The MPPSC 13 percent hold result has not been cancelled. As of 3 October 2026 it is a wait. Appointments moved on 87 percent of posts. On the other 13 percent, separate provisional lists of OBC and unreserved candidates were prepared, so appointments could follow a verdict. A name on the hold list is not an appointment letter.
The hold is tied to a 2022 circular
Fact-check reports put the general-administration circular at 29 September 2022. That path filled 87 percent and held 13 percent. Recruitment did not stop. Held does not mean cancelled. The split is explained in what the 87:13 formula is.
The January 2025 hearing is not a final win
Newspapers did not agree on the Jabalpur hearing of January 2025. One report said the bench let the 87:13 path continue as an interim plan, and kept the stay on the rise to 27 percent. Another headline said the formula was rejected. Two headlines are not one order. The provisional list exists so both claims survive until the verdict.
4.87 lakh rested on an eight-year claim
At the Indore programme a line of 4.87 lakh posts circulated, adding 13 percent holds across eight years of MPPSC recruitment. The circular is from 2022, so the eight-year sum does not stand. Reports counted affected posts at about ten thousand. That is a newspaper estimate, not a commission table. The figure was not in the reports of the 22 September letter. Advice:
Match the roll number on mppsc.mp.gov.in, in the result of the exam you sat. A hold or a provisional list is not a cancellation. A letter already issued on the 87 percent side is not the letter for the 13 percent hold. A WhatsApp date and a forward of 4.87 lakh are not orders. The letter comes on the same portal.
