In Madhya Pradesh, the appointment letter for a held OBC post arrives when the recruiting board or the department uploads an order against your roll number. As of 3 October 2026, no public department order was found that gives one date for every held candidate. A date moving on WhatsApp is not an order. OBC means Other Backward Classes.
The 87 list and the 13 list are not one letter. Appointments moved on 87. The extra quota at 13 is on hold. Hold is not cancelled. A name on the hold list is not a letter.
The path to a letter
In 2019 the OBC quota was raised from 14 to 27. The case went to court. The General Administration Department circular is reported as 29 September 2022. That is where 87:13 came from. On the 13 percent, separate provisional lists of OBC and unreserved candidates were made, so a letter could come after an order. A name on the list is not a joining. Medical, document verification and the department order can still be pending. Treat it as a letter only when all three are done.
On 19 February 2026 the Supreme Court sent the case back to the High Court. On 6 August 2026 Dainik Bhaskar wrote that the verdict was reserved. Reserved is not a win. The order is not printed. Do not write reserved as a letter date.
A letter and a statement are not the appointment
On 22 September 2026 Rahul Gandhi wrote to Mohan Yadav. The demand was to implement 27 and to give letters on the 13 hold. That is a demand. 4.87 lakh was not in the reports of that letter. It is an eight-year claim. The circular is of 2022, not a full eight-year hold. On 24 September Vishwas Sarang said the government is committed to giving 27, and offered a reward for reading the letter. That is a statement. A reward rate is not in the reports. If a reward link comes, do not send money.
73 is a sum, not a judgment. 16, 20 and 27 make 63. Add the EWS 10 and it is 73. 51 is an affidavit, not a census. A sum does not give a letter.
What to check on the portal
Open the roll number of that exam. If the status is hold, the letter has not come. Download the PDF. If the PDF says 14, that recruitment is running at 14. If it says 27, that line is 27. If it only says OBC, do not treat 27 as in force. Treat a counselling date as real only when the department writes it. If the date is in a newspaper and not on the portal, take the portal.
The census OBC column counts population. The department gives the letter. A column being added will not open the held posts. The Khunti dharna and Chalo Delhi on 1 November are column programmes. A Kunbi certificate is a Maharashtra paper. The three do not open this letter.

Keep the counter slip and the provisional list in one file. If the year is missing, the slip can belong to another recruitment. If a group quotes a rate for a letter, do not send money. This page does not sell a ticket. A forward’s date is not the notice date. Check the portal. Change the line when the order is printed. The creamy layer at 8 lakh is not this cutoff. Check the name on the state list.
The department issues the joining letter. A photo of a sealed envelope is not a joining. A march in yellow scarves does not open the portal. A group admin’s message is not an MPPSC notice. A hold result and a final merit list are not one. A name can be on the merit list and the 13 line can still be on hold. Treat the hold as lifted only when the notice arrives as a PDF on the site. The EWS 10 is not OBC. The Centre’s 27 and the state’s 27 are not one rule.
Three papers are separate
The provisional list enters the name. A counselling date is a date only when the department writes it. The joining letter is the third paper. A photo of one does not stand in for all three. A letter on the 87 does not mean the 13 has opened. A name on the 13 does not mean the result is cancelled. The MPPSC hold result is a separate page. There too, hold was not written as cancelled.
Do not match an old result to the new notice. Open the portal of the recruitment your roll number belongs to. The 2019 figure of 27 does not paste itself on every old exam. The verdict is reserved, so do not share a win poster. Keep the order copy and the roll-number slip in one envelope. Check the name on the list.

The plain point is this. The letter for a held post will come when a department order is uploaded against your roll number. As of 3 October 2026, one date for every candidate was not found. 87 is moving, 13 is on hold. A name on the provisional list is not a letter. The 22 September letter is a demand. The 24 September statement is not an order. A WhatsApp date is not a letter. Check the portal. Do not send money.
