Download your video from a direct link
Paste an authorized HTTPS link to an MP4, WebM or MOV file and save its original bytes. This tool does not convert video quality or extract media from social-network pages.
How to use
Copy the direct video-file URL from your own website or an authorized download source. Paste it above, confirm permission, and choose Prepare download. Wait for the received size, then select Save video. Use Cancel to stop a transfer. A preview appears when your browser supports the video codec.
Supported links and limits
The URL path must end in .mp4, .webm or .mov; query parameters are supported. HTTPS public website addresses only, up to 100 MB per file and a two-minute transfer limit. The source must permit browser access through CORS. Redirects, login-protected links, playlist/stream URLs and DRM are unsupported. MOV files need an ftyp header; older MOV files may be rejected. Initial container checks do not prove full file integrity or playback compatibility.
Permission and privacy
Download only content you own or are authorized to download, and follow the source website’s terms and license. Public availability alone does not give permission. Your browser contacts the source website, which can see your IP address and URL request. This tool does not upload or proxy video through VH Original. Transfers use no login cookies, and entered links are not saved by this tool.
FAQ
Can I download YouTube, Instagram or Facebook videos?
No. Social-platform page links are unsupported. Use their permitted download/export features.
Why does a direct link fail?
The source may block CORS, redirect, return an expired URL or an access error. A playable video link does not always permit browser-based fetching. The tool does not bypass these restrictions.
Does it change quality or remove a watermark?
No. It saves the original file without conversion or watermark removal.
Where is the downloaded file?
Usually in your browser’s Downloads folder; mobile browsers may offer Save to Files or a sharing menu. Storage behavior depends on your browser.
