First, enter through the official website. Open gate2027.iitm.ac.in and use its Login link. Avoid a sponsored page that asks you to pay someone to unlock your form. Keep your login credentials and one-time passwords private.
Second, read the complete status message. Make a small checklist of the problem, the required file or correction and the deadline shown. If you need help from a cyber cafe, remain present while the information is entered and review it yourself.
Third, prepare before editing. Keep the original application, relevant ID and requested supporting material ready. Use filenames that help you distinguish an old image from its corrected version. Open the final file once before uploading it, especially if you have several similar scans.
Fourth, review and complete the required action. Follow the portal’s instructions, make any applicable payment and confirm the submission step. Download the updated record if available. A screenshot of the edit screen alone does not prove that the revised information was submitted.
Finally, return to the dashboard. Check that the action is reflected and monitor later messages. Keep your original and revised records together. This makes it easier to describe a problem accurately if the helpdesk needs to investigate.

The official status explanations distinguish a paid submission, an application under scrutiny, a defective application and an accepted application. A correction can return a form to scrutiny.
