Police Commemoration Day 2026 is on 21 October. In Hindi it is पुलिस स्मृति दिवस। The date is tied to Hot Springs in Ladakh — on 21 October 1959 ten CRPF men were killed on the frontier. Since then police and central forces across India remember those who did not come home from duty. This page is a tribute poster, not a parade. There is no official badge on these files.
The wide poster is featured. The three tall posters below are for a phone. Long-press 3 seconds to save.
Why 21 October
Hot Springs is high, dry country in Ladakh. After the 1959 clash the date became a day of memory. In later years state police, CRPF, BSF — every force reads its own names on this morning. Police Commemoration Day 2026 is not a celebration of an old fight. It is the names of families whose constable did not return.
पुलिस स्मृति दिवस 2026। जो नहीं लौटे, उन्हें याद रखो।
Police Commemoration Day 2026. We remember. Hot Springs, 21 October 1959.
How to offer a tribute
Two minutes of silence on a parade ground is enough. At home, one lamp. Online, one clean sentence, not noise. Do not give advice today to families who wear khaki. Give them room.
