The Ultraviolette X-47 Venom launched with a reported starting price of ₹2.65 lakh ex-showroom. Its 7.5 kWh and 11 kWh battery options have manufacturer-claimed IDC ranges of 227 km and 343 km. The larger battery, radar assistance and on-board charger belong to different variant combinations, so compare the exact model before paying.

Price and introductory offer: what to check
The 22 October launch report describes ₹2.65 lakh as an introductory starting ex-showroom price for the first 5,000 customers. The manufacturer’s product page says displayed Bengaluru ex-showroom prices include a Carbon Farewell Fund offer of up to ₹35,000. We cannot establish the remaining offer allocation in real time.
Request a written on-road quote for your city, exact variant and colour. Separate insurance, applicable registration charges, charger, accessories and optional warranty. A starting-price headline does not mean the equipment shown on a Recon+ is included with the base motorcycle.
The four variants compared
The manufacturer lists these four configurations. The + versions include on-board charging; the Recon family combines the larger battery with radar assistance. Confirm selected colours and optional equipment separately on the quotation.
| Variant | Battery | IDC range | Charger | Radar |
| X-47 | 7.5 kWh | 227 km | Standard | No |
| X-47+ | 7.5 kWh | 227 km | On-board | No |
| X-47 Recon | 11 kWh | 343 km | Standard | Yes |
| X-47 Recon+ | 11 kWh | 343 km | On-board | Yes |

What 227 km and 343 km range actually mean
IDC is a controlled test-cycle figure, not a guaranteed distance on your commute. Speed, load, gradients, traffic, weather and riding style affect usable range. Do not plan a journey that requires the advertised figure without a charging margin.
The specification sheet also gives manufacturer estimates of about 150 km for the 7.5 kWh battery and 220 km for the 11 kWh battery in Combat mode. These are estimates from the company, not results of our road test. Match the choice to your actual route and a comfortable battery reserve.
For a short daily route with reliable home charging, compare the smaller-battery options first. For longer trips, identify working compatible charging points and a fallback stop before deciding that the larger battery solves the whole journey.
Charging times and home charging
The table below quotes the official specification sheet for a 20% to 80% charge. It does not describe a full 0% to 100% charge. Ask which charger is included and which needs to be purchased separately.
An on-board charger does not establish universal compatibility with every public charging station. Confirm the connector, cable, safe electrical supply and parking access you will actually use. We are not claiming unverified 12 kW DC charging support in this guide.
| 20–80% | 7.5 kWh | 11 kWh |
| Standard 1.3 kW | 3 h 45 min | 5 h 30 min |
| On-board 1.6 kW (+) | 3 h 45 min | 5 h 30 min |
| Boost 3 kW | 1 h 50 min | 2 h 45 min |

Radar, touchscreen and cameras by variant
UV Hypersense radar is listed for Recon and Recon+. It provides rear-collision warning, lane-change assistance, overtake alerts and blindspot detection. Treat these as rider assistance; continue using mirrors and checking surrounding traffic.
All four variants list a 7-inch touchscreen. Cruise control is included with X-47+ and the Recon family, while the base model lists it as an upgrade. Recon has a front dashcam; Recon+ has front and rear dashcams and rear-camera-view park assist.
The manufacturer claims 30 kW peak power, 155 km/h top speed and 0–100 km/h in 5.9 seconds for all four. The advertised 550 Nm is rear-wheel torque. The sheet separately lists 90 Nm peak motor torque; these are not interchangeable measurements.
Warranty and everyday usability
The base model lists UV Care battery/drivetrain cover of 3 years or 60,000 km. X-47+ and the Recon family list included UV Care+ cover of 5 years or 100,000 km. UV Care Max, up to 8 years or 800,000 km, is optional for the Recon family rather than free standard cover across the range. Confirm the applicable terms and whichever-limit-is-reached-first rule.
The listed seat height is 820 mm. A test ride should include reaching the ground, reversing on your parking slope, low-speed turns and pillion accommodation. Check your nearest service location and likely repair turnaround. A power figure alone cannot tell you whether the bike suits your daily routine.
Questions to ask before booking
Get the exact variant and colour written down. Ask about the final offer price, refund/cancellation terms, delivery estimate for your city and included charging equipment. Avoid treating an estimated handover date as a confirmed appointment when planning to sell your current bike.
Start with the official X-47 Venom page and follow its Configure/Book options. Read the chosen model details and payment terms before proceeding. This article does not accept booking payments.
Our view: which variant should you consider?
For shorter everyday trips, compare the full cost of X-47 and X-47+ first. Choose a + configuration if on-board charging matters to your setup. Compare the Recon models for a larger battery and radar; examine the Recon+ quote if you also want cameras at both ends and its additional equipment.
Settle your charging location, normal travel distance and service access before paying for a longer feature list. The useful choice is the one whose total cost and everyday arrangements fit your needs.
