The 2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V has arrived in India with revised styling and a three-variant line-up. Introductory prices start at Rs 1.27 lakh and rise to Rs 1.41 lakh for the Carbon version. The headline equipment includes a TFT display, riding modes and cruise control, but the specification depends on the variant. Buyers should compare Standard, Pro and Carbon before treating the advertised feature list as standard equipment.
Bookings opened on October 17, 2026. Here is a breakdown of the launch prices, manufacturer specifications and delivery schedule available on that date. This report explains published launch information; it is not an independent road test.
2026 Hero Xtreme 160R 4V price in India
NDTV Auto’s launch report lists the following introductory ex-showroom Delhi prices. Registration, insurance and applicable local charges are additional, so these figures should not be read as on-road quotes.
| Variant | Ex-showroom Delhi price |
|---|---|
| Standard | Rs 1,27,000 |
| Pro | Rs 1,37,000 |
| Carbon | Rs 1,41,000 |
The Pro costs Rs 10,000 more than Standard, while Carbon adds Rs 4,000 over Pro. These are differences between the listed ex-showroom prices. Ask for an itemised dealer quotation to separate the motorcycle price from insurance, accessories and optional packages.
Standard vs Pro vs Carbon: equipment differences
According to the launch report, Standard has a telescopic front fork, mechanical throttle, LCD instrumentation and single-channel ABS. Moving to Pro changes more than the dashboard: it brings the higher suspension and electronics package. Carbon’s main additional attraction is its TFT screen.
| Equipment | Standard | Pro | Carbon |
|---|---|---|---|
| Front suspension | Telescopic | 37 mm USD | 37 mm USD |
| ABS | Single-channel | Dual-channel | Dual-channel |
| Display | LCD | Multicolour LCD | 4.2-inch TFT |
| Ride-by-wire, modes and cruise | Not listed in launch specification | Available | Available |
Hero’s new official brochure also distinguishes the Pro’s multicolour LCD from Carbon’s TFT and lists USD suspension for both. The appearance of a TFT in advertising therefore does not mean that the entry-level motorcycle receives the same instrument panel.
Engine and official specifications
For Pro and Carbon, the new brochure specifies a 163.2 cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, oil-cooled engine. Output is rated at 17.1 PS at 8,750 rpm, with 14.6 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm. Transmission duties are handled by a five-speed constant-mesh gearbox and a multi-plate wet clutch.
The same two brochure columns list a 149 kg kerb weight, 805 mm seat height, 165 mm ground clearance and 12-litre fuel tank. Braking hardware consists of a 276 mm front disc and 220 mm rear disc. Tyre sizes are 100/80-17 at the front and 130/70 R17 at the rear.
These figures are explicitly drawn from the Pro and Carbon comparison. They should not automatically be applied to every Standard specification. The manufacturer’s power unit is PS; replacing it with an identical numerical figure labelled bhp or hp would introduce an avoidable error.
What is new about the design and display?
Hero calls the updated styling “Cybersharp”. Sharper body panels and revised visual details give the motorcycle a different identity from the earlier version. Carbon receives a 10.67 cm, approximately 4.2-inch, multicolour TFT, while Pro uses a multicolour LCD.
The official product page also highlights adjustable clutch and brake levers, LED lighting and a panic brake alert. Buyers should match equipment to their selected variant rather than assume that every feature pictured belongs to the lowest advertised price.
There is an important distinction when describing the update. Autocar India notes that the previous Combat Edition already offered ride-by-wire and cruise control. Those features should not be presented as entirely new to the Xtreme family in 2026. The revised styling and Carbon’s TFT are clearer ways to explain this model update.
Riding modes and cruise control explained
The equipped variants offer Rain, Road and Sports modes. Ride-by-wire manages the throttle input electronically. What the motorcycle feels like in each mode requires riding assessment, and a mode name alone does not establish a guaranteed fuel-economy improvement or acceleration result.
Cruise control helps maintain a selected speed. It does not turn the motorcycle into a self-driving vehicle or remove the rider’s responsibility for braking and maintaining a safe gap. Its usefulness is easier to assess on a suitable open road than in constantly changing urban traffic.
Booking and delivery dates
Bookings opened on October 17, 2026. The launch reporting gives November 1, 2026 as the start of deliveries for Pro and Carbon, whereas Standard is scheduled for January 2027. It would therefore be misleading to promise November delivery across the entire range.
Check local availability, colour choice, booking amount and refund conditions with the dealership. A nationwide delivery commencement date does not guarantee that every booking will be fulfilled on that day. Dealer allocation and the booking queue can affect the actual handover date.
Which variant makes sense?
Standard offers the lowest entry price, but the equipment differences and later delivery window matter. Pro’s additional cost is not simply a payment for a different screen: the launch specification also brings USD suspension, dual-channel ABS and the electronic feature package into the comparison.
Choosing Carbon over Pro is more closely tied to the value you place on the TFT and the available finish. During a test ride, check your reach to the ground, low-speed control, lever reach and instrument readability in daylight. Those observations can be more useful than choosing on the basis of a promotional photograph.
No verified mileage figure was identified in the new brochure used for this report. Accordingly, an estimated kilometres-per-litre number is not presented as an official claim. Running costs depend on real fuel consumption, local petrol prices, maintenance and riding conditions.
