Unicode and Mangal: what changes?
This changes the character encoding, not just the display font. Unicode stores Hindi characters as Hindi text. Mangal is a font that can display Unicode Devanagari; the result can also be displayed with other compatible fonts. Applying Mangal to legacy Kruti Dev character codes alone does not convert them.
Which input is supported?
This tool targets Kruti Dev 010 legacy text. It is not a universal converter for Chanakya, Shusha or every other legacy font. Paste plain text; DOCX, PDF and image uploads are not supported. Formatting such as tables, bold and font size is not preserved. Line breaks in pasted text are kept.
Convert only the legacy Hindi portion. Ordinary English shares characters with Kruti Dev codes and may change into Hindi if included.
