Report Card Comment Bank Generator

Report card comments — VH Original

Create constructive report card comment suggestions from teacher-selected progress, strengths and next steps. English and Hindi templates; no API required.

Turn your own classroom observations into three clear comment suggestions. Choose observed learning progress, one strength and a practical next step. The optional name personalizes the text; leaving it empty produces a generic student comment. The generator uses local templates, not an AI service.

How to use

Choose the observations that are supported by the student’s work. Select Generate to see three alternatives. The sample uses a fictional student named Alex. Copy the result or download the UTF-8 text file, then edit the best suggestion in your own report. Hindi pages generate Hindi comments, and English pages generate English comments.

Calculation and process

The progress options describe strong understanding, steady progress or developing understanding. Strengths include effort, collaboration, creative thinking and organized work. Next steps cover daily practice, a focus checklist, a work-completion routine or class participation. These choices determine the content; the tool does not infer behavior.

Output and downloads

The sample combines steady progress, consistent effort and daily practice. The comments pair a positive observation with an achievable action. Three versions give you different sentence structure while keeping the selected meaning. The name field is limited to 60 characters and does not accept a whole class list.

Limits

Review every suggestion for accuracy and tone. A template cannot know a learner’s circumstances, accommodations, attendance or achievements. It does not calculate grades, classify ability or make an education decision. Do not turn an unsupported dropdown choice into a statement in a student’s official record.

Advice

Make the final comment specific by adding a real example, such as a completed task or an improved revision. Replace a broad next step with a manageable action and agree on a review time. Keep language respectful and avoid diagnoses, fixed labels or predictions about future ability.
