Convert PDF to editable Word
Extract editable text into DOCX. Choose OCR for scanned pages. This is text conversion; original tables, images and layout are not recreated.
OCR can contain mistakes. Check names, numbers, Hindi characters and reading order. Fonts and spacing may differ in Word.
How to convert PDF to Word online
- Choose a PDF up to 20 MB.
- Leave the page field empty for all pages, or enter a selection such as 1-3, 5.
- Choose Text PDF for selectable text, or Scanned PDF — OCR for photographed and scanned documents.
- Select the OCR language when using scans, then convert.
- Review the extracted text, correct mistakes and download the editable DOCX.
The PDF to Word converter works in your browser. It creates a real DOCX containing editable text, rather than putting pictures of PDF pages into a Word file. Use it when you need to rewrite a paragraph, quote your own notes, or reuse the text of a document you are allowed to edit.
Text PDF or scanned PDF: choose the right mode
Start with Text PDF if you can select and copy words in a PDF reader. This mode reads the PDF text layer and generally finishes faster than OCR. It groups text fragments into lines using their positions. Some files contain a hidden text layer produced by earlier OCR; that layer may already contain recognition mistakes.
If the document consists of pictures, choose Scanned PDF — OCR. Each selected page is rendered and recognized locally. English, Hindi and mixed Hindi–English options are available. Choose the language that matches the page content, not just the language of this website. A clear, straight scan usually works better than a dark or blurry phone photograph.
What this PDF to DOCX converter preserves
The result contains editable paragraphs and line breaks. By default, a Word page break separates each selected PDF page. You can turn that setting off for continuous text. Selected pages are processed in ascending order, and repeated page numbers are included once. You can change the extracted wording in the review box before creating another DOCX.
This tool does not reproduce the original visual layout. Images, backgrounds, charts, links, form fields and document signatures are not transferred. Tables become text lines instead of editable Word tables. Multi-column layouts may have a different reading order. Use the original PDF as your reference when organizing the Word document.
Review text before downloading Word
Check names, dates, prices, decimal points and punctuation carefully. Hindi scans also need a check for matras and similar-looking characters. The review box shows the text that will go into the file. When you edit it, the old download is removed; press Create DOCX from reviewed text to generate a fresh file containing your changes.
A line containing [[[PAGE]]] separates source pages in the review text. Keep that marker if you want the chosen page-break setting to apply. You can also remove it to combine sections. Source page boundaries do not guarantee an identical number of Word pages: long lines, font substitutions and paragraph spacing can cause reflow.
File size, page limits and mobile performance
The upload field accepts PDF files up to 20 MB, but the document stays on your device. Convert up to 30 selected pages in text mode or 10 selected pages in OCR mode per run. A PDF with more pages can be processed in smaller selections. The text output is limited to 1.5 million characters to keep exports manageable.
OCR takes more time and memory than reading a text layer. The first run needs to download its language model. Keep the tab open and use Cancel if you need to stop. Very complex or damaged PDFs may fail even when the file is below the size limit. Password-protected PDFs are not supported; use an unlocked copy you are authorized to edit.
Privacy and DOCX compatibility
PDF parsing, OCR and Word-file creation happen in your browser. The converter does not send the chosen PDF or extracted text to our server. Processing libraries, fonts and OCR language data are downloaded from third-party CDNs, so an internet connection is needed. This does not mean the entire website works offline.
Open the downloaded DOCX in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice Writer or another compatible editor. Hindi display depends on the fonts available on your device. Keep your original PDF, and check the exported document in the editor you intend to use before sharing it.

Yes. No payment or new account is required for this tool.
Can I convert a scanned Hindi PDF?
Yes. Select scanned PDF mode and Hindi or Hindi + English OCR, then review the recognized text.

Does the tool change my original PDF?
No. It creates a separate DOCX download.
