How to fill the kalash
Water, rice, a coin, mango leaves, coconut, mauli, swastik. Do not shift the pot after sthapana. Barley beside it is optional.
What not to do

No plastic pot. If the muhurat slips, many homes still set the kalash later the same day. Do not dump and refill the water every morning unless that is your custom.
