AI Work & Budget Planner — Choose AI for Your Monthly Work

AI work and budget planner for text, images and video — VH Original

Choose AI around the work you finish

An AI subscription is useful when it helps you finish the work you actually have. A student reading course PDFs, a blogger preparing articles and a YouTuber making scripts and clips do not need exactly the same features. This planner begins with monthly work rather than a leaderboard position. Choose a profile, load its example workload, then replace those numbers with your own realistic quantities. The examples are starting scenarios, not recommended production targets. You can focus the comparison table on one AI plan or view the full catalog. The resulting shortlist reflects confirmed feature categories and your entered budget, not an independent test of answer quality.

Enter monthly outputs and attempts

Count finished study questions, articles, scripts, coding tasks, PDF summaries, usable images, generated clips and voice minutes separately. A thumbnail is an image output; a script is a text task; a finished video can require both plus editing elsewhere. The planner does not silently invent these extra tasks, so enter every component you expect to use. Average billable attempts account for rejected drafts and regenerated assets. For example, two attempts per usable image doubles the planned image-generation volume. A fractional average such as 1.5 describes many jobs over a month. It does not mean that a provider bills half of an individual request.

Set a budget and regional prices

Select INR or USD for the budget and displayed totals. USD reference prices are converted with the exchange rate you enter when INR is selected. The starting rate of 85 rupees per dollar is only an editable arithmetic example; it is not a current bank quote. Local checkout prices can override a plan’s USD reference, including a price from an app store or regional offer. Enter the normal monthly charge, not an annual plan’s misleading monthly equivalent unless you intend that commitment. Optional tax is applied to entered costs. If your checkout price already includes tax, leave the additional tax percentage at zero to avoid counting it twice.

Keep existing subscriptions in the calculation

Tick every paid plan you intend to keep. Its fee becomes part of existing monthly spend. When evaluating another plan, the table adds the new fee to that existing stack instead of pretending your current subscriptions disappear. A plan already owned has zero new spend, while its recurring fee still remains in the monthly total. This helps distinguish adding a tool from replacing one. To model a replacement, untick the plan you would stop paying for and calculate a separate scenario. An unchecked plan is not automatically cancelled. If a different service is missing from the catalog, enter its monthly price and only the capabilities you have verified under the custom-plan option.

Read feature fit before interpreting a shortlist

The catalog contains ChatGPT Plus, Claude Pro, Google AI Pro and a custom-plan slot. A feature is treated as confirmed only when it is represented in this checked catalog or explicitly entered for the custom plan. Missing categories appear in the table. This does not claim that a provider can never offer that feature through another product or integration. Plans matching every requested category are shortlisted only if the total monthly stack stays within your budget. Among those candidates, the order favours lower additional spend. No secret quality score is used. If no single plan qualifies, review a mixed workflow, reduce the scope or enter a suitable verified custom plan.

Separate app limits from API token costs

An app subscription and an API workflow are different purchases. Do not divide a subscription fee by an API token rate to invent included messages or images. The optional API section estimates a separate workflow using editable per-task input and output token assumptions. Long conversations, Hindi text, scanned PDFs, reasoning and tool use can change real usage. The token recipes are illustrative budgets rather than measured token counts. Choose a text API model or enter custom rates, and review the resulting input and output volumes. The comparison of text components uses the same assumed tokens across models; it does not prove that those models achieve equal quality or finish every task with equal attempts.

Budget image, video and voice components

API image output and video generation have their own rates and settings. The checked image reference is a standard 1K output component; input images, editing and other fees may be additional. Video presets identify the model variant, resolution and whether generated audio is included. Enter a planning clip length that is supported by your chosen service, rather than assuming every duration is accepted. Voice generation uses a rate you confirm per minute. When a requested component lacks a positive rate, the planner asks for it instead of quietly pricing that work at zero. Enter extra charges for search, storage, input processing or other services in the selected display currency.

Check credits and save your assumptions

The optional credit check models one shared image/video generation pool. Confirm monthly credits and the debit for each billable image or clip attempt. The reference example is a checked Flow pool, not a Gemini chat-token allowance. If both media draw from that pool, their requirements are added before comparing with available credits. Images-only and clips-only capacities are alternatives, not two allowances you can spend simultaneously. Download the JSON report to retain prices, workloads, attempts and calculation assumptions. Inputs are processed locally without asking for an API key, account login or billing document. Prices are a dated reference; verify current checkout and account limits before making a purchase.

FAQ

Does the cheapest plan mean the best AI?

No. Ordering reflects feature coverage and additional cost. Test quality on your own representative work.

Are token assumptions exact?

No. They are editable planning recipes. Use measured usage where available.

Are API costs included in my app subscription?

The planner treats API as a separate workflow and does not infer API credit from a subscription.

Can I enter Grok or another AI plan?

Yes. Use the custom plan name, local price and confirmed feature checkboxes. A Grok text API reference is available separately.

Why is voice rate initially zero?

There is no universal per-minute rate. A voice workload requires a positive verified rate before the API estimate can run.

Will this buy or cancel a subscription?

No. It produces a local planning report only. Purchases and cancellations remain your own actions.

Advice

Try one ordinary example from your real work before committing to a paid plan. Check the time needed to correct the output as well as the displayed fee. Keep subscription and API scenarios separate, verify your local price, and avoid buying overlapping tools merely because their model names are different. This planner supplies transparent arithmetic and a feature shortlist; your own workload test supplies the evidence for a final choice.
