Clean a link without opening it
Paste one complete HTTP or HTTPS URL and build the result. The tool does not visit the link or contact its destination. Review the cleaned URL, copy it or download a text file. Only use it with links you are allowed to share.
Which parameters are removed?
The cleaner removes utm_ parameters and common click identifiers including fbclid, gclid, dclid, msclkid, gbraid, wbraid, ttclid, twclid, igshid, mc_cid and mc_eid. Matching is case-insensitive and encoded parameter names are recognised. A ref parameter is retained because many sites use it for functional routing.
What is preserved?
The path, fragment, remaining query parameter order, duplicate values and their original encoding are preserved. For example, https://example.com/article?utm_source=mail&id=42#summary becomes https://example.com/article?id=42#summary. The #summary fragment still points to the same section.
Signed links are protected
Some download, login and cloud storage URLs depend on their exact query string. The tool blocks common signature, authentication and expiration parameters, including X-Amz and X-Goog signing parameters. This conservative check may also block an ordinary URL. Unknown signing schemes cannot all be identified, so keep the original if access matters.
Privacy limits
Removing a click identifier does not remove cookies, referrer information, browser fingerprinting or tracking inside the page itself. It does not prove a destination is safe and it does not unwrap shortened URLs. Links containing username and password fields are rejected.
Sharing a useful clean link
After cleaning, inspect any remaining search, product, language or pagination parameters. They may be necessary. If you want to test the result, open it yourself in a suitable browser context. The cleaner never automatically opens a URL or displays remote previews.
